Tagore Foundation School Kolkata is an inclusive school in the heart of the City of Joy, Kolkata established in the year 2008. Tagore Foundation School Kolkata for Special Education is a child-centered, providing full -time and resource educational services to students with special needs, including Language Delay, Language Disorder, Autism, Attention Deficit Disorder and Developmental Delay. The continuum of services starts with Early Intervention for young children considered to be at risk and continuing to the Pre-School, Kindergarten, Primary and Secondary School academic levels, as well as providing Life Skills and Pre-Vocational Classes for older students who have reached their academic potential

Tagore Foundation School Kolkata is based on the premise that every child has a right to an education. We firmly believe - it is our responsibility to maximise the academic, social and physical potential of each and every child. It is also our responsibility to provide a nurturing, structured and safe environment in which to learn.

The School offers activities at varying levels of involvement and complexity, to give our students exposure to numerous leisure options and interest groups, including student leadership, sports, the arts and information. These enable our students to explore and discover their interests and strengths, and teach values to guide them to become active, contributing members of society.

The activities include: Drawing Competition on Fuel Conservation Awareness and Clean City Movement There is an acute need to bring about awareness about clean fuel and fuel conservation. Drawing Competition on the subject matter was organized by the school with the help of Indian Oil and funder SAVE UK.

Relief during Pandemic COVID-19: We are indeed very much grateful to SAVE UK who donated a huge amount of money for which we have been able to reach to the poorer section of the students and remote area students during this critical situation. Their precious smiling is our achievement. Our Sr. Students took the responsibility to distribute relief amongst those poor students and their family. We appreciate their leadership and involvement. We are very much thankful to SAVE UK for their major support in the nick of time.

School Dress & Books donated to the students: School Uniform, Books & periodicals were given absolutely free of cost to the needy students with the help of SAVE UK and Mrs. Susmita Sen in the month of March, 2019. Thanks to them for their kind patronage.

Many more events were arranged in the last year, such as Celebration of Rabindranath s Birthday, Essay Competition, Children’s Day Celebration, and Visit of Zoological Gardens with the help of Govt. of West Bengal.

Most importantly, we have introduced Mid -day Meal programme for the students with the help of SAVE UK and Century Ply.
