SAVE-UK was registered in 1994 by the members of the Indian Diaspora settled in the UK as a non political, non religious, voluntary, charitable organization with the sole purpose of working amongst the poor, particularly those who are living below the poverty line, initially in India but ultimately in all the South Asian countries included in the SAARC group, i.e. Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, Maldives, Nepal, Pakistan, Sri Lanka and in Myanmar.
Swadhar IDWC Pune was established in 1995 to work towards empowerment of women and children. Women, world over and particularly in India, have always been denied their rightful position in a family as well as the society.
SAVE has been assisting the Tagore Foundation school for a number of years now and we hope to fund a training programme at the school with funding from the Bairdwatson Foundation.
